Thanks, but I owe a lot to SLI. Seeing all you guys and girls with the same passion as me, gave me the motivation to pursue my image of the perfect wagon. Although I had a lot of help from peeps like Reason, Sybir, DeadlyDave, just to name a few.

Dang im starting to look at wagons more.. I guess thats ok since thats all thats really available here in the tri-state area.

The extra space in the rear might help with all that photo equipment I have to bring to events..

As to my foglights, they are wiscon_mark's old foglights. They are a US and japanese item (mine are stamped as japanese manufacture). There is also a non-projector style foglight that is the same shape that was sold in the US. Should be able to pick these up for around $40-50. They used to be on ebay alot, my guess is they'll have another surge. The yellow was then done after the fact with some stained glass paint.

Legacy, now I know where the light protectors went Oh, and did you paint your highbeam reflectors black???

Ah Ok.. I'm looking at now is a Glacier White/Tan 97 Outback Wagon 5MT.

only thing is how to overall make it look nicer looking.. I wont say I wont go after this or not since I'm looking at a few others in a few other colors as well.

I guess if it comes with no rear wing it needs to be drilled in.

Rear wing can be glued on with industrial adhesive.
My rear wing on my Impreza GF has been on that way for 4 years.

I have a question about lower profile tires.. stock is 205/70-15 right?

If I get a tire with a smaller sidewall what size would I have to make up for it? 17? I would be very likely into changing stock struts and springs out and giving a little drop.. but not too low due to some unplowed streets during the winter.

And with the wing and the tape you never had any issues with like 90F+ heat?

Stock is whatever comes on the vehicle from factory. Stock differs on trim level and factory spec.

There are threads in wheel/tire that can help you.

Wing + industrial glue (not tape) = no problems with heat or cold.

A while back ago, I saw a post for DIY yellow turn signal delete. When I opened it up, I though of painting all the chrome pieces in the housing black. I am glad I did. I first did my stock headlights, looked good, but I couldn't see a thing at night. Works better if you have the projectors.

Right, so you can't use your highbeams then because they're black, right? I painted mine with yellow stain, but the lights are definately useable.

I actually use the high beam part as my city lights and the projectors as my high beam. I'll try to take some night shots.

haha. Nice. It was raining pretty bad today, so I had my highbeams on, and no one flashed me. The yellow definitely has an effect of changing how the light is perceived.

I thought about slamming my car, didn't do it and now, seeing all these dropped wagons well... I'll be doing some lowering soon, the snow will just have to move.

I really like a well done wagon with some sort of toy rack installed BTW. Thanks for the inspiration guys.

Oh crap, my track day car started out as a daily driver/winter hooptee, isn't one form of insanity defined as repeating the same behavior while expecting different results?

pwt. thank you . to be honest i took that of my buddys wrx and well i just added it .you see the impreza gets the wrx sti , well i have the lrx sli . so ya idk it was a random thing i did.i too like the black bug gaurd .currently a stock grey fabric seat but im looking at getting a leather l-gt rear seat.

i love having the racks i used them almost three times a week this winter. i am running gf impreza springs with spacers in the front and rear beacsue the springs actually lowered my car almost three inches im guessing , i have to use 2 one inch spacers in the rear and one in the front springs to stop rubbing while hard cornering .
if i got in a drunk driving accident it would because my liver shut down on me while i was driving , not because i was intoxicated .

The wagons came with headrests. If yours didn't, it means the prev. owner threw them out/lost them.

Actually, that depends on the model years. My 95 didn't have headrests in the back. I'm betting 96 probably didn't either.

W00t I might be in luck I found a blue/slate grey 97 wagon 5Spd very local better price then the Green/tan 97 outback.

going to check it out on Friday one owner at that too. I hope I wont get any funny looks from the owner searching for rust and checking the head gaskets and sniffing around.
