    MCarp's wifey's '05 Civic LX

The wife and I decided to get a civic to replace her half of the fleet. She's an '05 Civic LX. Her name is Tohru. Since the Legacy's fuel economy was so poor (20mpg) we're essentially shifting our fuel costs into a car payment. And we get something a lot nicer out of the deal. I don't have much in the way of plans for the car, other than taunting hybrid owners with equivalent fuel economy and no environment-killing nickel cells.

She got 43mpg on the trip home, I'm pleased! ^_^

Yeah you might want to just sit back and see how things go from now on and lurk a little man, your getting a little in over your head here. Have you used the search button? Every time I refresh posts there are about 3 new threads from you.

Anyway, that's awesome gas mileage, kinda makes me wanna get a honda lol. And that house is nice too, a simple cozy house +3 for the house.

I don't like Hondas because I prefur torque.

Still, as DD they're fine. Looks clean, nice pick up for your wife.

The D17A1 is pretty much tuned for torque. It's a 1.7L so it's displacement limited of course. They dyno a bit higher than a 2.2 once you figure in drivetrain loss. It also beat the legacy in an impromptu drag race.

its a nice car. if i had the money and the wife could drive might get somthing along those lines.

the only honda i ever owned was a 91 handa legend(while i was living in japan so right hand drive). that car was awsome. it hauled ass. the only thing was the engine mounts. it was FF but the engine was for & aft, so was a pain in the ass to change the mounts.

Nice 7th gen, especially the 04-05 from another 7th gen owner

For me the Civic is just a fuel saver, you really have to hit a higher rpm to make it moves. I almost ended up with the LX too same as your's but I've got the EX(for me it's the Si) the extra 12HP and VTEC isn't really faster than the non-VTEC. Pretty much the same, but since it has VTEC it's a bit noisier.
