Not much done today, replaced the rear wiper arm with an updated style one from a 2007 Forester, along with the rubber clutch pedal pad and shift knob. Found a rubber trunk liner last weekend at the pick-n-pull and let it sit out for a week to regain its shape. Put that in the back and topped off washer fluid.

Been busy got new motors/tran mounts install on the Benz and Jeep is ready to go for winter (fuel injection, fuel pump, fuel filter/pressure regulator, spark plugs, coil pack (2) rear tires and front rotors) just need to put on new wipers.

Bought a replacement wheel from Subaru. Just need to swap the tire over, fluid change (oil and maybe coolant and brake) and detail (wash, clay and wax). Then it should be ready for the snow month.

Mom MDX, replace driver side door actuator and I need to pair her mobile up with the vehicle hand free link.

Last weekend I replaced the battery, replaced the rear diff fluid and was going to install my new swaybar, until I discovered the swaybar links are toasted. Covered in grease from the bushings that burst. Both sides!
So now I have to order new links.

Also, replaced the PCV valve. Was dirty as heck. Next up, clean out the IACV and then a good cleaning of the car before I wrap the doors to prevent winter corrosion.

Picked up a '92 5-Speed SS last weekend. Installed a new radiator, oil change, GR vintage WRX shift-knob and LED headlamp bulbs in it today. Still needs a bit of love, most importantly shifter bushings (I'll probably just go a full Kartboy kit) and some TLC to the steering system.

Going to be fabricating some parts at the company I work for. If anyone has an interest in a "Coffee Cup" mod (intake resonator swap out) or fender braces, let me know. Should have some stuff worked out in about a month!

Sanding down the inner wheel for the Legacy. Tomorrow I have the lift reserved. Not sure which vehicle I’m bringing up but it’s one of my vehicles the Benz (tire leak) or the Legacy (new wheel and old wheel leak).

Yesterday drove the Legacy on mush snow (snowing/freezing rain) around Logan and DuPont Circle in D.C to have lunch then drove it to Rockville, MD about an hour away to shop at the baby store (expecting father) and my wife is telling me to slow down because I was zipping thru traffic (doing the speed limits). I’m sorry if they can’t drive in snow. They should stay home.

    First, congrats.
Second, been there with rain. We get some amazing 15 minute deluges, and I drive up the hill through the river while everyone loses their mind and goes 15mph up the turn lane...

    Thank You.

I took the Subaru up to the shop last Monday and found micro-bubble on the inner and outer tire beads. Re-sealed with tire bead sealer on the new wheel. Giving it few more days and see if the TPMS light will come on or not.

Nice sunny day today for an oil change. When it was time to drain the oil, it started to rain. No biggie, I'll just get wet. That's when it started to hail. Kind of hurt my legs sticking out from under the car but got it done. The hail wasn't big enough to cause damage so all good.

A couple of posts up, I was doing an oil change when hail struck. This time I'm trying to put new struts on the '96 Outback along with a left rear wheel bearing. I hate hail.

    Forgot to update it
I ended up replacing the tire again due to a blow out (found 4" drywall screw) on the replacement wheel. The TPMS light never came back on for a few month now maybe more.

Benz got a set of OEM wheels and lug bolts. Already replaced the front tires. Need to replace the (2) rear tires and one valve stem.

Welp, after having problems instigated by the TPS, I found out that not only was my Optima Yellow top old and unwarrantied, but additionally the ground terminal was broken as in pulling off at the seems. This issue caused all sorts of codes. It got to the point where I was considering a trans swap. Ended up going to O'Reilly Auto to get a used battery for about $50 minus the recycle credit from the yellow top which was about $13.

The Legacy now runs like a champ (we won't talk about the p0420)

After two weeks of headaches and stress everything is all good!

I been away for awhile (I'm now a Father since Aug.21).

    Subi
    1. My wife sister back the Legacy into a light post concrete bolder with my newborn son, wife and there mother in the vehicle. I may use rubbing compound and buff it out myself (yellow stain paint) on the driver side corner rear bumper. If it does not work. I take it to my body man and have him do it as a side job.
    2. Shopping for a Subaru OEM Engine remote starter. May have my friend (Certified installer) install it and I take it to Subaru to have it program.
    3. Got a airbag recall need to take it in.

Jeep - New battery and fixed the Key injection cylinder lock (would not turn). Still need (1) tire and (+) battery terminal clamp.

Mercedes - Going in for service for Tuesday for rear tires (Michelin Pilot Sport), Motor oil, transmission oil/filter and Brake oil.

Been busy with the family. I found out that my wife sister daughter stepped on the passenger side rocker panel (side skirt) and broke the clips while entering inside the vehicle. I ended up getting a new rocker panel from Subaru (It's already sitting at my friend shop). Waiting till next month to have it painted and the rear bumper repair/painted by my painter/body guy.

My cousin GF bought the Jeep. Now I don't have to worry about fixing the Jeep anymore.

So, I sold the '03 last week-picked up a very tired and unloved '96 impreza wagon (red, NOT BLUE) it's the closest I could get to a first/second gen. leggy-couldn't afford a forth gen leggy-not much out there with a five speed. Hope to have it ready to go in about two weeks

replaced thermostat, in just under 3 hours, well thermostat was done 15 minutes but to get vehicle supported and intake plenum removal took the rest of the time. Who new finding thin wall E-10 socket would be so problematic or the fact that they actually exist.
98 GT -- Intro to Subaru. Cooked HG, dead suspension, and lots of ricer mods.
02 Outback H6 -- No more HG issues, but ate two 4eats.
09 Subaru Tribeca -- slow and ....um fat, definitely fat.
13 E350 S212 -- No more Subaru!! Why does that make me happy?
