Now I need an alternator after 11 years and 136k miles for the Benz. Getting that done next week so my rear main seal have to wait.
I'm shopping for a dual bicycle rack for the Subi debating if I should go OEM or aftermarket.

You can see in this picture I have tape covering rust on my door.
Looking good @CaleDeRoo I'm digging the red BBS center caps with gold lug nuts. Are you running the V-limited front lip too?
Trying to figure out a noise in the front end. Ordered tie rods and bellows last night since I noticed some play in them and the same sort of noise that I get when I'm driving when I tried to move them. Even if it doesn't fix the noise they aren't a bad place to start.

Picked up my baby from the body shop yesterday, had to have some work done cuz the Snap-On truck backed into the front end. Got the hood fixed up, brand new OEM glass headlights, a new JDM grille, and had the bumper and fenders buffed out and repainted
Should be installing my new radiator shroud and alternator cover in the next couple days, as well as a few other goodies I have hangin around my garage
Took the Subi in to have it wash.

No, that wasn't a quick reset, coasting down a hill. Legitimate driving after filling up with 87 no ethanol gas.

I removed the stupid factory accessory front bumper guards. Not sure what the point of them was - they don't stick out as far and fenders or the underspoiler, so they don't really protect anything.
Got all the adhesive off one side using a combo of goo gone, heat, clay bar, and M105 buffing compound on an orange pad. Also lost some skin off my thumb trying to rub the adhesive off. The other side's adhesive came off easier because it was drying out, which meant it trapped dirt & damaged the clear coat
Also, bought some Moog endlinks for the front & back with a rockauto coupon. Can't wait to get my STi rear swaybar and then I can install those (will do comparison photos between Moog & OEM).

Subi: New air and Cabin filter. Put few lbs of air in one of the rear tire. Drove it a little and did not reset the tire pressure light. I'm praying that the tire light will turn off tomorrow once I start heading up to the shop for an Ardeca oil change.

Need to find out what's going on with my intermediate overheating issue. Hopefully it's the waterpump/thermostat as I'm guessing. But knowing the ej25d it's more than likely my headgaskets
Yesterday oil change completed and found a tapping screw in the same tire and had it plugged

Well yesterday after work... Not today as it was: Started Looking for the short in my wiring that killed the power to the ECM. After learning Yoga with a flashlight in my mouth so I could get the main relay out of the car, I started doing some testing with the DVOM. From what I can tell, my short is somewhere between the main relay plug and the 30 amp #2 fuse in under the hood in the yellow/red harness. I was able to do some jumper wiring to the unaffected systems and get her to run again while setting codes instantly for O2 Sensor heaters and AIC. (not powered)
I will be picking up the parts to ditch the factory main relay and replace it with 2 Bosch auto relays for easy diagnosis and replacement. I will be disconnecting the O2 sensors and unplugging the IAC motor and retest for the short to ground to hopefully find out it is a bad O2 sensor with an internal short, but I know I am not that lucky. I was not able to find a good enough complete wire diagram to go over, as my digital FSM has a corrupted frigging wiring diagram, so I looked over everything that had the main relay wiring in the troubleshooting section to find out what all is run off that stupid thing because it ONLY shorts when the relay is activated. Wiring will be a bit of a hodge podge until I get my Doner shell stripped down and ready to transfer the drivetrain.
I have quite a bit of work to **redo** in the comming months. Not happy about having to basically redo my entire build, but it will give me the chance to take care of a few other things that I want to do. It was awesome having a perfectly straight body for a whole 500 miles.
Need to order up some suspesnion and steering bits so I can get rid of all the old/worn parts when I put her back together so I do not need to do this again with any luck unless I want to make a big change! My game plan is to get her reliably running tomorrow night so I can recharge my AC on Saturday and start putting the miles on her to get the emissions test done!
