Installed new to me driver's side fender on the '96 Outback as the old now was crushed. Also removed all of the Outback decals. They were pretty ugly with 210K and never been in a garage. Sometime next month I will have driven this car 200k miles.

Found the possible issue to my leaking coolant and overheating. Thought it was a headgasket, but thankfully it looks like the waterpump seal is shot.

Not my car, but I did rotors & pads on all 4 corners of my mother's BM Legacy. Only ran into one issue when the parking brake decided to latch itself to the inside of the rear rotor. Watched a youtube video on how to get it unstuck - thankfully it worked and nothing was broken in the drum assembly. @Thomistopheles knows how much I hate parking brakes.

Today I installed 2.2 uel single port headers. They bolted up perfectly! Replaced all the exhaust gaskets and hollowed the second cat that doesn't have an O2 sensor. It sounds really good, I have a SPT muffler I'm considering selling for something slightly louder.

Hmm, it's been quite a while since I've posted on here.

The LGT got a few mods a few weeks ago, and to put my mind at ease, I double checked the AFR's with RomRaider on my laptop today. Everything looks great!

Installed a GrimmSpeed MCB today... Zip tied the fuel regulator in place till I can make a mounting plate (its about 1.5" off in the 3.0R model compared to the LGT)

A friend got me a Black and Decker Auto Vac... Works very well. Made me want to do more cleaning and even frebreezing today.

Gave the exterior of the car a light bath and hosed down some of the mud in the engine bay.

Broke a lug off the rear hub. Replaced it with one from my old BE

I just got the flip keys together, need to get them cut then wait till they can be programmed. If a locksmith does it, are they just making the chips mirror the working keys or same process of having all the keys you want to work present?

Right, from what I've been able to gather the gen 2s didn't have cabin air filters...which seems silly. I was hoping it had just been omitted from the user's manual but I guess not.

Sorry about the lateness, that was on the '08. As far as I could work out the 2nd gens in the US didn't come with cabin filters (I know mine had loads of leaves stuck in the blower...).

Today I exchanged an envelope full of 'murican currency for a red 06 Outback XT limited 5MT. I put in 4 hours in the driver's seat of my buddy's forester heading out to Minneapolis, then 5 hours in the OBXT with a detour to Grimmspeed on the way back home. Handles like a half deflated beach ball, but other than that I love the car. Suspension + wheels + exhaust and I'll be a happy man. Already had tint, weathertechs, and rally armor flaps when I bought it.

Does the 4th gen family have support group meetings? I can already tell that my wallet and I are going to need some serious couples therapy.

Drilled a hole in a perfectly good tow hook cover for the plate relocation today. Once I get caught up on customer lights I'll be doing a projector retrofit and some winter prep detailing. These stock halogens are terrible when you're used to FX-Rs with 50w HIDs, 100w halogen highs, and a bunch of overkill aux lighting.
