Found some gas leaking out of the fuel line after the fuel filter on the SVX.....probably has something do with whatever is on the outside of the line.

Re: What have you done to your car today?

Bought a spray can of plasti-dip to restore my cracked/flaking trim, then used it on my grille instead. Perhaps tomorrow I'll use it for its intended purpose... maybe.

I also stopped at Don Miller Subaru and grabbed a coffee mug and cylinder head plug. It was funny watching all the salesmen's eyes light up as I pulled up, then the look of disappointment when I walk toward the parts department door instead. They were all standing by the glass inside since it was pouring rain.

Re: What have you done to your car today?

Tried tightening the crank pully bolt, no luck. So I took the light bar off, swapped the sedan gauge cluster into the wagon, and parked the sedan. Man, I'm sure gonna miss paying for regular gas and going out in the mud.

Detailed wifes 03 Accord, took it to the dealership and asked about trade in value. $1500. Seriously?

Also got my first speeding ticket ever yesterday. 61 in a 45 zone. $150. Think I'm going to go to court to ask for a reduction in fines as it's my first ticket.

I took my first ticket to court. It was 47 in 30. I got off with probation before judgement, reduced fine, and no points. The judge told me that would be the deal if I plead guilty.

Re: What have you done to your car today?

Roger, you've been driving this long without a ticket, so definately go to court and request the court's leniency. I would site the fact that you have never had a speeding ticket and ask for a reduction, or offer to take an aggressive driving course in place of the points. This worked for me when a Charleston traffic cop nailed me at 90 in a 60.

Yep, thats how they work at the dealer... Sell it out right for another $2-3K. My sister is thinking about selling her 2000 Accord to get a Subaru! :smt026

Definitely fight it! Or at least mitigate for sure! When I got my first one at 17 y/o, I got my 75+ in a 60 that was $175 reduced to $90, so it's worth it. Most of the time for the bigger tickets I used to get a lawyer, but then again I did used to street race...

    Shipping a door sounds pricey...

I put the RS seats out of my wife's coupe into my sisters 98' LGT (of former 2.2GT-T fame haha) tossed the stock leathers in a dumpster, and dropped off my Sti struts and newly acquired H&R Sti springs with my friend so he can put them together and hopefully get that stuff in the car this week.
1998 Legacy 2.5GT: Stock to turbo to stock, and given to my Dad, then to my sister that blew it up. Now I've repo'd it and it will once again rise to former glory!
