Is that a dent in the unbroken runner? Because that's not a Borla if it's a dent...

The ebay headers are hit and miss unfortunately.[/quote]

Not a dent, just some grease.

These were actually a replacement from Borla under warranty. After they broke at the flange he had them fixed, when it broke at the collector he was over it. At this point they're 4-5 years old and I doubt that even if he wanted a replacement he would go through the trouble of finding the receipt. This really wasn't an uncommon issue with these during the time frame he bought them in.

I bought my Borla's in 1999... They cracked in 2011 and Borla replaced them for free. It's definitely worth keeping the receipt. See if you can dig it up. Much better than paying for another header.

I want free headers! My borla replica one is ok, definitely showing some wear however. Bought mine 3-4 years ago and got a good one.
I think I drove my car yesterday... I don't get out much anymore.

    And a new avatar.

I actually bought a header on eBay a while back made by a company called "TopSpeed". Fitment is great and the quality is actually really nice. I think I paid $150 shipped. If you can't afford Borla, I'd recommend the TopSpeed header.

What Huffer said. Someone on CounterStrikeGO who had this as their avatar kept killing me. So basically made it look like Emma Watson was killing me every round and it made me laugh. We'll see how long I want to keep this avatar. I didn't want to keep the Rio one for that long either, but like a year later I still had it...

You can keep it forever. I don't mind looking at Emma Watson every so often.

There's definitely something attractive about that woman. Not sure if it's the nerdiness or what. *shrug*

I'm not entirely sure either. I also don't mind looking at her, so she'll probably stay for a while.

I bought some paint, which probably means I'm going to paint something small eventually. I'll post pics when/if I ever do it. It's kinda drastic!

Re: What have you done to your car today?

With an field schedule like mine, it takes a while to get anything done. 8 away 6 home. .
With the engine and trans out for over a month now. ..
My buddy did the valve cover gaskets, cam seals and caps, front and rear main seals and water pump pretty much right away, but last night i did the oil pan gasket

with luck (and me getting off the computer), I'll do the timing kit, bolt the trans back to the engine, AAAAND drop it back in, button 'er up and drive home tonight!

but that might be wishful thinking

Re: What have you done to your car today?

Figured out that my friend's 500-ish HP Ford 306 V8 would technically fit in my Legacy. Not that he'd give it up. And not that I'd give up AWD for it. Naah. Flat-4 for me, all the way.

Also, I painted over the body rot with some Rustoleum flat Jade green. not the same color as Wintergreen, not even close... But I felt like something had to be done.

Tomorrow, I begin the long, slow process of beating my Grace into the ground, as I'm starting as a Domino's delivery driver... But I'm hoping that with this job, I can save for a Postal wagon.

Don't feel bad, my new suspension sat in my garage for about 3 months before it got put on. As for today I plasti-dipped my USDM and JDM grills. Also did they DIY emblem color change for the USDM grill. Its all still drying. I was going to wash and wax the car but I just saw its going to rain later.

I don't know whether to say congrats, or sorry to hear.

    I have some news...
However, it's not about how much anyone's going to save on their insurance either.

    Eet Snau CAME HOME!
    I had a 96 Volvo 855GLT,

and was fine with it... no problem, liked the car. Made it a 7 passenger, tinted the rear doors back, threw on the rack for travel and put about 4k on it, in 3 months of ownership. I get a call from my sister-in-law ( those who've been here for years, know where this is going )

    S-I-L; Hey?...?... WatchaDoooo-een?
    Okin. ; WTH? What?
S-I-L; Can you come check this car out for me?
    Okin- k.

Get in the car, tools and all and I'm on my way. I get there and I'm not even out the Volvo yet,

S-I-L; Oooohh that's nice. Wanna trade?.
    Okin- Want what?
S-i-L- I think he wants to go home. He keeps squeeling and draggin his ass. He got something hanging from his behind, and....
    Okin- Sure, when???

After 4 hours of cleaning (a few pounds of dirt, grime, dust and a world of other things.) New brakes at all 4 corners, and a few adjustments here and there, he's purring again. Happy to be home. But then again, he's got a little less than 20k of old lady driving and less than 12k on a rebuilt 2.2 I did about 2 years ago. He's also sporting recent tires at all 4 corners and is still sitting on Bugeye Stuts and Tenabe GF210's. The JDM headlights are still intact sans 1 tab. He looks a bit beat in the hatch area. 3years with my sis-in-law and also my nephews BMX career was launched with Eet doing the hauling to get him there. The interior is still good with the exceptions of
    the cargo area carpet stained
1 kicked in speaker grill and demolished speaker
the tint being scratched everywhere his bike made contact
    Grill center knocked in
and some maintenance and other minor bumps, I'd say he fared well for being away for 3 years.

No pics of his current state, and I am considering selling him for priority reasons, but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. We'll see. But for now, an old pic...

Oh, All this happened yesterday, and today's my birthday.... seems fitting.

I'm guessing 04 WRX/STi Struts? I like it...a lot. That is pretty much the perfect stance.

    OMG!!!!

I think Im buying my 4th Legacy tmw!

It will put me back into a 2nd gen and a manual which i've missed.

I might soon have 2 Silver legacy wagons in the driveway :smt026

I'm so happy to be thinking about sitting in a second Gen drivers seat soon

Yes they are 04' take offset

This AM I gave the rears a minor fender roll with a shovel handle

I am going to track down a wooden bat and roll them all the way early this week. They we're rubbing on corners/ bumps last night, luckily the current tires are already shot, but I am gonna roll them over all the way before I put my 215/45/17's on

Showed up at the Toront-Subaru-Club.com Hyper Meet with my friends Vendor booth. Decided that in order to be show worthy it was time to step it up and go off-road. Funny thing is that more people checked out my outback compared to our 400+ AWHP monsters parked next to me :-D..
