Painted my lights to get them ready for the projectors. UPS is bringing my goodies this afternoon. A quick bench test at the shop to make sure the bi-xenon solenoid has no issues, and then into my housings they go.

I washed it this morning. Then my brother and his girlfriend came over and both commented on how good it looks. Its moments like that make me proud of the work I have done, with the help of others.

That's an impressive *edit* LHD beam pattern, and wow overall!!
I just got used 2-pc. from a 98-99 OB to swap out from my 95 1-pc stockers, but whao, what you've done with your 2-pc improvements is astonishing!! overall components list and price? did you retro-fit 2-pc into these projectors??

I heard you were going to be putting projectors into USDM light fixtures and I did not expect them to look nearly so awesome! Aside from the projector lenses themselves, the black reflectors is a big WIN, and the USDM outer lens cover has a cool grid pattern that looks unexpectedly great too! Nice work!

Doesn't really sound like a plug-and-play retrofit, so hopefully people will still buy our 4Zero1 JDM harnesses when they decide on JDM lights after all

Re: What have you done to your car today?

Ordered a new driveshaft a few days ago and it's scheduled to come in tomorrow. If things go well, I should have my Outback rolling around under its own power again this weekend. It's been a month since and my life isn't the same.

Actually Cam, it damn near is! Aside from yes you do HAVE to remove the lense from the housing. The paint and all that is just extra work Thom decided to do.

Re: What have you done to your car today?

With my retrofit, the MotoControl harness plugs right in... but you're still mounting the control box, grounds, power, ballasts, cutting the hell out of your housings to mount the projector, spending hours tuning the projector for optimal performance and tweaking alignment, adjusting the alignment of the HID bulbs in the bulbs holders to get the hot spot in the perfect position for the brightest high beams and evenly distributed low beam... Converting my JDM projectors to LHD cutoff took maybe 90 minutes, and install with the 4Zero1 JDM harnesses would be a breeze. Pretty much 3 bolts, plug in the adapter, and you're done.

Stuff I did to my car yesterday... went to the shop I do my detailing work at and installed my bugeye seats, added my second factory under seat subwoofer, and had one of my installer buddies disassemble and clean the inside of my head unit. Previous owner spilled shit and it got inside the HU, and the pots needed cleaning too. Way too damn hot... 100°F inside the shop.

Got Ivan, my new 5-speed Legacy L on the road, registered and insured, and put about 25 miles on him immediately. Good god, having a Manual is fun. I can see my left leg getting real tired at first, though...

I worked for another detailer doing cab interiors for a little while... all Prius cabs. I hated every second of it, and moving the cars around gave me a brief glimpse into the horrors of having to drive one of those damn things...

They are very dirty, weird people-everyone at work calls them rolling dumpsters. Had my '91 sedan towed to the subie dealership I used to work at-sounds like one or more of the t-belt pully bearings are about to let go-I just had the belt replaced in May and specificity asked to have all of those items checked!

I don't mind the drivetrain of the Prius too much (my dad has one), it's the brakes & interior comfort that's terrible.
