Picked up the control module for my arrow stick, mesh for my grille and BE speakers for my front doors from rkrenicki. Then, he put the speakers in while I cut the mesh. grille looks ballin' & the speakers are amazing.

I finally feel accepted! lol, I've been getting and returning subie waves a lot lately even from turbo Impreza's!

I honestly don't care if I'm "accepted," but it's interesting what a hood scoop and different paint job can do.

It's probably the scoop that did it. A lot of WRX/STI guys around me only initiate waves to subarus with scoops, since a lot of the non scooped scoobs are hippie haulers and old people.

oh that's y ppl didn't recognize me after I sold my bk lol that makes total sense. Now I should go buy a 400-500$ hood from JDM land just so I can be waved at lol. But all seriousness ever since I did put a black scooped hood on my bk I started getting waves and flashes.

You don't have to get a JDM hood to get a scoop. A Baja turbo hood will do fine.

Re: What have you done to your car today?

They're $37.50 on eBay, free shipping. Couple of bucks more to get it cut at the hardware store. The programming of the remote is easyish, and if you have anything before an '05, you don't have to deal with the immobilizer.

If you have anything '05+ then you have to either fork over the money to get the chip programmed or you can do microsurgery on your existing key and pry the chip out and place it in the new key.

It doesn't really have better range than the old FOB, but it seems more consistent.

Re: What have you done to your car today?

I replaced the clutch master cylinder with an exedy one that I removed the delay valve from. Much more direct clutch feel and no more "slipping" from the faulty delay valve kicking in every time I shift. Pedal feel is also a lot lighter, which is good - it used to be hard as a rock.

    ^ agreed.

So today I went to my brothers house and a wild spoiler appeared! I chose "attack>ponder" it was a direct hit. The car flinched. Then I chose to "attack>attach" and it was "super effective". So now I would like some of UR guys' feedback

(Note it's just positioned on the car not actually attached)

Re: What have you done to your car today?

Also forgot to mention I fixed my trunk latch. The damn thing worked one minute. Let the wife pull the handle to the latch and decided to shit the bed. I finally got it open with a broom stick from the rear passenger seat and saw this little tab on the trunk latch.

Apparently if the tab is flipped up it cancels the trunk from being popped open. For valet purposes or police trying to open UR trunk when there's dead bodies and explosives back there. Now all would've been great if my damn key opened the trunk but for some damned reason it doesn't.

After that episode I went and cleaned the glasses on my car (which haven't been touched for months!) and decided to clean my wiper blades

This is one blade wiped 2ce of its filth! Now I can see again without nasty streaks. And lastly armor alled the inside of the car and everything is so shiny n glistening. (No pix)

I'm not totally sold on the fin. The rims are hawt! But the spoiler :-/ meh. Not sure I can say why, maybe i don't like how it overlaps the body, but maybe that's just 'cuz the trunck is more incut leaving more body/fender on the side, but then from the side it's kinda cool, but then i'm not sure. . . .

    but

PS, DOH :smt076 the f-ing trunk latch!!
let's hear about the first time you killed your battery with the "parking light" switch on the steering column!

^yep don't do or Ill pull my vote on the ROTM
98 GT -- Intro to Subaru. Cooked HG, dead suspension, and lots of ricer mods.
02 Outback H6 -- No more HG issues, but ate two 4eats.
09 Subaru Tribeca -- slow and ....um fat, definitely fat.
13 E350 S212 -- No more Subaru!! Why does that make me happy?

Okay, to each their own, but:

That spoiler meshes horribly with the lines on that car. It's just not made for it.

Programming is easyish in what way? I am intrigued by this....

    03 obs rsb SWAP

ssshhhhhhhh, (looks both ways with back hunched) I'm not supposed to mod my wife's car, but . . .

    On a theory I tried it. . .

I swapped my 95 legacy RSB into my wife's 03 OBS. straight swap and went from 13mm to 15mm.

BUT this also means you could swap in a gen 1 OB RSB and go to 18mm!!

    SWEET easiness!!
