I ordered the can 2.5" in 4" out. The exhaust itself will be 2.25" and will step up for the muffler.

This will be the first time I've built a exhaust for a NA vehicle and having V band everything is over kill I just love not having to use gaskets and it is time saving.

Nice I'm running the street stealth muffler and I love the sound! I would love to go v band and forget about all the gaskets leaking and etc etc

    Thanks!

They are indeed 5x100. I think in 2015, only the Forester and Impreza (not WRX) are still 5x100. Not many 2nd gens around anymore, a lot were lost to the battle against road salt - I did see a perfectly rust free red 98 or 99 Outback today though. That was a sight.

I ordered LED bulbs for the Impreza & Tribeca. Also ordered the cargo mat for the Impreza - tired of worrying about dirtying the rear cargo area.

I have been trying to find a way to store all my spare engines off the ground and this is what I have came up with so far.
This one is a 251 short block with sti headgaskets and 25D heads.

Also I tire bagged it after this picture and put tape over the Intake ports.

If I could afford a '16 outback 3.6R-I'd sell my rust free '99 leggy in a heartbeat!

I have everything for the Outback 3.0Rs oil change. Replacing the plug with a fumoto quikvalve plug, trying out Pennzoil Ultra Platinum made from natural gas oil, and a FRAM ultra synthetic filter. I wasn't sure what filter to go with this time around but after researching filters, it was highly rated and was ranked better then my old NAPA Gold by Wix. I normally do not go with FRAM.

Bobistheoilguy forum members seem to like the FRAM Ultra. They tend to not recommend anything else Fram makes, though. Otherwise I usually go Wix/Napa Gold (Napa runs some pretty awesome sales on them) or Purolator PureOnes. I can't wait to change the easy change filter my FB20 has

I changed the air filter and cabin filter on the Impreza. I figured the dealership would have done those things, but nope - the nasty smell that I had on hot days after work is mostly gone with the new filter, so I likely just need to run a vent cleaner system through the vents to eliminate it.

Heh, yeah, I would definitely be into a Legacy 3.6R (wagon, if only). The Tribeca does a great job though, even if it isn't as fast. It's still surprisingly spry for its weight.

Went to a small local Subaru meet with @kcowles and @Rubie_25GT this evening. The three of us were the only Legacys.

Got the engine ready to be pulled on the postal. Ended up getting it pulled and the donor car in the driveway.

I am debating on starting a thread in the members rides. The car will never be as clean as most of the cars on here but I will be doing a lot and have a lot of updates.

I am hoping to get the rear sub frame dropped this weekend. And start taking measurements for the solid bushings.

Nothing like going to start your car after a few days and finding a couple mouse turds and it not starting... Then when you do get it started, it does this...It may be time to get rid of this thing and just ride a bike

Did the dry ice trick to remove 12.5 pounds of noise deadener from my BK. I believe I have about the same amount to go and then will start to install a lightweight carpet.

I drove it on some windy roads. Definitely fun, but it needs an STi rear sway bar & better tires (the cooper CS4s are shit).

I don't even know if that would be compatible with a new-gen Impreza. I looked into it with my Forester and despite the larger diameter, the wisdom was that the effective bar strength difference was minimal and it wasn't worth doing. Not sure how true that holds up for the Impreza, but I did see several people saying the STi bar was the same in the front, so I'm guessing that's not an upgrade either.

I may do endlinks on the front eventually, though.

Being super lazy at the shop today. Debating if I should do the rear main seal on my Benz. I been pushing this off for way to long. Still need to order the back plate and some Mercedes special tool to tackle the rear main seal.

I don't even think I'll need to use ramps with the next change since I put a fumoto valve on it.

Today I put seat back protectors on the Impreza to match the cargo tray. The rubberized materials that Subaru used for both are really nice.

I also changed the headlights in the Tribeca out to GE Nighthawks & changed the rear diff oil.

I order the rear main seal plate and compound sealer for the Benz, since I already have the rear main seal.

I order the front tag bracket for the Legacy and shopping for the best deal on the rear OEM trunk spoiler and mudflap for the Legacy.
