this is nice !!.. i want to do the all blue way as well
i like that !!
Can't do white. It will be a teal look to it from the green backing film I believe. I could be wrong, But 99% sure.

Matty is right on, I'll get my pictures together soon to show the differences between colors, the white bulbs make a teal color, because the backing of the gauge covers are green. The only way to get them white is to remove needles, sand down the back of the gauge overlays then color to your desired effect. *******

It's light enough not to effect the bright Blue or Red, I have had both.

Speedo/tach/fuel/temperature: 4x T10 5Led
Digital AC: 4x T3 LED
Glovebox, ashtray, 12v outlet: 3x T5 LED
Trunk light: 1x T10
Dome light, maplights, courtisy ligths and visor lights: 7x 3175 Festoon 31mm.
Also got sick of the green light in the turn signal indicators (in dash) so i put 2x T5's in them.
Got 5x prewired DIY LEDs that i installed in the pocket underneath the CD player, cup holder and glovebox underneath the armrest.

I want to do white LED's but im thinking its going to make the gauges greener than what they are. Would it show up white? Or green?

Just bought blue ones....we'll see how they turn out! 19$ total. Not doing HVAC. Just gauges

Your needles and red areas will not light up as god with the blue ones.

anyone know how to get to the gauges to sand? I can't seem to do it
Student budget SUCKS
I have a JDM car, the face of the gauges seem to be a bit different, I assume that the rear is the same. I think I will buy the same blue ones listed in this thread I have an apexi boost gauge that is in blue at night, so would be good if the other panels matched.

Does anyone have the part numbers for a BD Dash and hvac controls and how many are needed? Also for the fog, defrost, cruise buttons. I would like to order before disassembling the dash for stainless bezel install.

Yeah has anyone found out which lights are needed for the cruise control and fog light switches? As of now, both of those lights are burnt out for me, and I really wanna replace them.Originally Posted by RandyMarsh303

The cruise and fogs and defrost and emergency flashers on a BD are just the T1 / Neo3 style from Superbrightleds.com. I used white and amber when I did mine. The Neo3 bulbs are a little big for the sockets in any Subaru so a bit of sanding on the base make them fit better. Also the retaining hook is a little big so I trimmed the bump with a knife.
On another note, I haven't been to Superbrightleds.com site in quite some time and it is way better than it used to be.

Major props to "blackstar" for this thread, it was super helpful, especially the bulb # breakdown.
Here is my result with the blue bulbs, it looks like it came this way, I love it, and it matches perfect with my Eclipse Navi. All my interior lighting is now LED, as well as the license plate. Totally updates the feel of the car, and this weekend an '06 LGT 3-spoke steering wheel will complete the interior for me.

What bulbs did you use for the indicators? I see you used T5s but which ones in particular? I ask because if you put T5s into search on superbrightleds it comes up with several different typesOriginally Posted by Legacy89

The T5 bulbs are just the sizes of the base for the #168/194/912 bulbs. The 168/194 bulbs are much smaller in size compared to the 912's. The 4 bulbs for the Gauges are the #194 bulbs. The other two bulbs to change the gauge illumination are the T1.5 bulbs I referred to. If you go to Superbrightleds.com -->just select LED Car Bulbs.
You will need:
4 = Miniature Wedge Base Bulbs
194/168/921 Type - Mini-Wedge Base Socket
2 = Instrument Cluster and Gauge
T1.5 Base --------->#PC74
or just type in there search : #194 for the 4 main bulbs and #PC74 for all of the other bulbs
The #PC74 bulbs are the same as the T1.5's I used.
You can use the #PC74 bulbs for--> Turn signal indicators / High Beam / BRAKE / Check Engine / ABS / Airbag / Battery / Oil lights, just depends on what you want replaced

All the advice are helpful to me
