wat about 03 wrx springs only fit to my bd struts n tophats with no modification?
You will need the matching top-hats for the '03 REAR Springs. (03+ WRX/ STi have tapered rear springs)Originally Posted by legacy98gt

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LOWERING ... 2ea9c05806 wat about these they say 02 and 03, if not does anyone now where i can get some tophats at?
for $30 i doubt they're very good at all.
seriously, keep a look out for complete sets of 01-04 STi springs/ Struts/ tophats from STi owners who have upgraded to coilovers
will they fit or do i need top hats? i want to get em cause i dont have much money and just want somwthing better then stock, i already have brand new struts so i dont want to buy new ones
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Used-Sub ... 45efdf9f9c theres also these but they will probobly go up way over my bydget but ill be watching em, i have 100 to spend on my car this month and i just cant save(tried that before didnt last a week) so im looking to do it all for under 100

Okay, so I have something a bit different:
05 STI - COBB Sports all around
05 STI - Rear struts and top-hats
04 STI - Front struts and top-hats
I have been running for nearly a week with no issue ... but can only reach +.75 rear camber. I am thinking of using two camber bolts per side to achieve a -1 camber... think this is safe or should I stick with just the one with hopes of reaching near -.25? There are also adjustable links, aren't there? Anyone use em before and what type?
Thanks in advance.
Here is a pic by the way, it actually sits a little bit lower in the front but the snow has it pitched upward...

Probably because it isn't a very intuitive layout... Really hard for me to follow at least, and I actually know a little bit about all of them!Originally Posted by Lone_legacy

I see at least a couple people a week posting on this forum asking whether wrx or sti suspension will fit their BD. This is the most comprehensive thread on suspension fitment.

That way you don't have to scroll past pages of stickied threads. There is lots of good information on this forum!

Yeah, threads of note are helpful. A threads of note specifically for suspension swaps is an awesome idea. Guess I missed it.

no one answers questions around here man, so will 02-03 wrx springs fit my bd? without changing anything but springs? no top hats no spring perches just use my stock stuff but with wrx springs
No they will not. You need 02-03 wrx front spring perchesOriginally Posted by legacy98gt

Just to add to the list, Tein Flex coilovers for an 02-06 WRX or 04 STI bolted up directly to my car. Just had to swap the camber plates side to side to get the bolt pattern right without completely throwing off their function.

so wat year will bolt on with no modification?
If you are talking about mounting just wrx or sti springs onto stock BD struts then none. (correct me if I am wrong suspension Gods). If you are looking for the least amount of modification, then look for 02-07 wrx or 04 sti take offs. I.E. struts, springs, perches, tophats already together. These will bolt up to your chassis with little to no modification. They are for sale all the time on NASIOC and other forums and are pretty affordable. I hope this helps.Originally Posted by legacy98gt

i just got new struts like 4 months ago and just want to lower it for half way cheap, i see springs for 02-03 wrx for hella cheap
You can run those springs, you just need 02-03 wrx front spring perches because the wrx spring has a smaller diameter at the top. Look for a set used or new, they should be pretty cheap.Originally Posted by legacy98gt

by perches do you mean top hats?
Nope. perches fit in between the spring and the tophat. They look like cone-shaped hats for the springs. Look in the factory service manual and you'l know what I am talking about.Originally Posted by legacy98gt

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-NEW-05 ... ccessories so is this wat your talking about? or this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-MONROE ... ccessories they look different
Those are strut mounts. strut mounts=top hats. You need spring perches. You need to do some of your own research. Did you look at your service manual? If you don't have it, you can DL off this site, just SEARCH for it.
