How to post pics to start FS thread?

    Hi!

How do I post pics to start a FS thread? I've searched but wasn't able to find the answer. I'm not a computer geek so you may have to explain things step by step to me. (Sorry about that.)

    Thanks for your help!

use an image hosting site (i use photobucket) to load the pictures online, then using the IMG code you can put them in your post.

    Thanks.

OK, I can set up an account with Photobucket.

    Now, what's an IMG code?

URL codes along with image codes are right above the box that you type in when posting or

You insert the address/link of the image between the two tags.

If you host your pics at www.photobucket.com , then copy the link with the [IMG] tags around it..

Re: How to post pics to start FS thread?

OK, I've got a Photobucket account. But how do I download the pics to Photobucket? There is no "Help" tab or a way to contact Photobucket. I've tried all the different ways but nothing has worked so far.

Re: How to post pics to start FS thread?

I hate reading really dry technical how to's, so I made a pictorial for you:

1.Go to photobucket.com and log in

    2.Click on "My Home"

    3.Click the big green button

4.Find the file you want to upload, highlight it and select "open"

5.It'll do it's thing, when it's done it'll look like this, click "save"

6.On the following screen, move your mouse over the uploaded picture, it should have "Html Code" and "Img Code"
If it does, simply double click on the "image code" content (ie. click on [ img]http..... so it's highlighted), right click and copy.
Go to 7, unless there's no "img code" then click on the newly uploaded picture and go to 6.A.

6.A. move your mouse over the image and click on "share," click on "post to website"

6.B. At the top, click on "Get link code." Now double click on the "image code" code to highlight it (I usually use the full size version unless posting a lot of pics), right click and select copy.

7.Go to SLI, create a posting in the proper forum, paste that code copied earlier, type in your ad, and done!

Re: How to post pics to start FS thread?

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS Mike! Those pics REALLY helped! You're a frustration-eliminator! Some of my screens came up a bit different but they were similar enough to yours so that I made my first successful for sale thread with pics! Thanks again!
