    Re: rear door speaker question

I have 5.25" in the rear doors of my wagon. I could put 6.25" in there also, but they're just "fill" speakers to round out the audio.

The cone diameter is only one aspect - magnet depth is something else you need to think about. Alpine Type R 6.25" components won't fit without a spacer (as an example).

    Re: rear door speaker question

you need to measure the depth of the speaker youre planning to put in, most 5.25" speakers tend to be shallower than the 6.25" counterparts, but there are plenty of 6.25" that can fit.

I have a 00 lgt wagona and I just installed 6.25" Infinity Kappas in all doors. They fit nicely and dont have any clearance issues, plus they sound awesome!!

in the trunk, stick your head in and look up , should see/not see any there. Seriously, the L sedan came with some, so yours definitely came with factory rears.

    Re: rear door speaker question

They are under the material. You have to remove the rear seat / rear deck lid. My 99 LGT limited came with rear speakers as part of the 'luxury' speaker package. however im sure other models did as well.

    Re: rear door speaker question

The only reason I'm looking into this is because no sound is coming out of the back, but I never noticed before and I was wondering if there was a problem with the speakers then couldn't find them lol. I have the wiring for rear speakers but I assume that comes with all cars. I'll double check the speakers and try to figure out why there is no sound.

no speakers = no wires. they could be wired in if you wanted to put in the effort.

but yeah they're under the fabric, thats why you can hear your radio so much better outside when your trunk is open

    Re: rear door speaker question

Here are some pics when I did my back deck speaker install on my 95 sedan. It was tricky at first, then I figured out that you had to "lift" not "pull" at the back seat.

Sorry for the bad photos (took them awhile ago on my phone)
Let me know how it goes! Sounds hard but it's not!
