Rally cross in Salt Lake City

Though I've never done it, Auto cross looks like lots of fun to me!

But what I'm talkin' about is taking that auto cross and moving it off the tarmac!!

Thare's going to be a national challenge event (SCCA) rally cross at miller sports park in SLC, UT this saturday (MArch 27, 2010).
Though it is a nationals event, ALL are still invited to play and you need not be an SCCA member but get a discount if you are.
If you're interested and in the area, come out and have fun off the pavement!!

I've only been to one rally cross (thusfar), but there's no describing the level of fun!! :smt002

Where are you at now? I'm commuting up from Moab for this one...

ALSO, they also have a special street-mod classification in Utah to invite and bring in the auto cross/street rod class into rally crossing....

SOOOOOO, you boys and girls with the street slicks can come out and play on compacted earth with a graveled surface, kickin' it sideways, WOOT WOOT!!

Yeah, so the Moab event didn't happen this year and pretty much all events in Utah this year got canceled for one reason or another :smt010

But hopefully this advance work and notice will get the Moab event up and rocking for next year. Here's hoping folks will be able to get together and hammer out the details on this one, then make a smashing debut for rally cross in SE Utah.

The URG (Utah Rally Group) is proud to present the November 2010 SCCA Utah Region RallyCross event. It will be held at Miller Motorsports Park on November 13th. Registration will be open from 8:00am to 9:30am, the driver's meeting will be at 9:45am, with first car running at 10:00am. The event usually goes until mid to late afternoon, with each competitor being given six runs...

are u on nasioc? you should check out the rocky mountain owners club.
there are alot of local subaru guys overthere. they hold multiple meets everyweek in utah depending on what area your in.

Yup, that's the plan. Got to get the seat time when I can...
Had an event in the pipes for moab but that fell through this year, hopefully it'll be a go in Moab next fall though.

My friend's planning to come from Flagstaff for it too.
Probably come up friday then overnight. Maybe some junkyarding or something in the interim on friday...

I don't have a camera at the moment I keep leaving them on airplanes

My friend has some pix, and if/when they get posted (probably on the DI), I'll try to link some here...
He brought his caged 02 WRX, running rally rims and tires, STi turbo and intercooler and 09 WRX driveline.
