    WWU Formula SAE

Just thought i would throw this up here. It is a video about the Formula SAE car project at my school, pretty awesome car to watch on the dyno... to say the least. And if it gets in the way in the lab you can just pick it up with 2 or 3 people and move it .

Wow! What an incredible video showcasing the car. I've seen a lot of the engineering project videos, but that one is the best yet. How did the car fair at competition? It said you were going to the california comp. That's where my school went, Colorado State University. We did the best this year of any year (I think it was 20th place?), as we tend to have mechanical failures at comp. Our cars have never had a steel tube structure frame and have been carbon monocoque each time, including load bearing transmissions and a bunch of other "tricks" that never seemed to pan out. This year they threw out the carboin monocoque and went tube frame and had no mechanicals, which was awesome.

Our hybrid FSAE team took second, which is hilarious because the competition had a ton of rain, and they came with no rain tires... so they did this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thayerschool/3525910092/

Do you have pics of the car? It was hard to see a lot of the detail on it. The 430lbs is impressive though!
