Finger Lakes Region SCCA - RIT - 04/26/09 - Pics

My first SCCA event of the season. I placed 7th of 11 in my class. Not bad for the beginning of the season.

Whoops, just noticed this was an event from last year. You still race in the Solo events? I just started racing FLR this year.

You must have been the wagon that was airing up in front of me at Hess. I have the black 2.5i now. Legacy was toast in January. refer to my other post for the carnage... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17250

The Impreza is pretty nice. My only real complaint is the throttle. In 06 Subaru changed from cable to electronic control, so there is a few milliseconds of lag in the petal input. I guess the easiest/cheapest thing to do about it is just get used to it and compensate. Other than that it handles more crisp, and I have more low-end torque than the LGT. Partially because the engine is a little bit more powerful, partially because I did a hybrid intake on it rather than the short ram intake with a cone filter. Are you looking to do any performance mods to your car this year? I would recommend a rear sway bar or different struts. I have some front end links off of my Legacy for sale, but I'm not sure if they would fit your car. They helped me a lot with quick cornering. If you do some research and find that they would fit I'll give you a deal on them.

Hope to see you at Senaca Army Depot on Sunday man!

My mother has a 2008 Impreza which has the drive-by-wire throttle, which really bother's me when driving it.

I am doing some work to the car this year. I'm actually planning a 5-speed swap over the summer. For handling the rear sway bar is definitely getting done after I get new wheels and tires for it. Might look into struts to lower and tighten it up. I'll look into if those end links fit and get back to you, I think they might work so I am potentially interested.

Can't make it to Seneca on Sunday unfortunately. My parent's are in town to visit this weekend and they probably wouldn't like it if I ditched them to go racing. I do plan on going to other FLR events this summer so I'm sure I'll see you around.
