So, finally getting around to putting this up even though I bought the car in Nov. 2012. I have wanted one of these for about 3 years now and have been waiting till I had the money to put down and all that other great stuff. Well, as it goes I was on Autotrader like I spent most of my time just browsing and came across this beauty and initially called my dad and told him I found his new car. He said he wasn't interested at the moment but that maybe I should consider it. So I called the bank not really with the intention and got approved for the car. Since it was an 05 and not older I could actually get enough of loan to not have to put anything down. Which I wouldn't have wanted to since I didn't want a car payment yet. So, next I called to get a quote for insurance and it was like 75 bucks. Well, crap. I was hoping they would say 200 dollars or something so I could stop thinking about it. So, again I called my dad and said I got approved and insurance is low would you mind taking a look at it? He is very good at buying cars from dealerships and he has helped me walk away from a few others cars, one in paticular a SpecB that would have been a major disaster. So he took a look and gave me the go ahead and that next weekend I went up with my buddy to go pick her up. My buddy kept bothering me the whole week because I wasn't excited enough. I tried to tell him that he didn't understand and that I have played this game with myself many times before and decided against it.
In the end all my waiting payed off. It isn't a limited but that is ok. All Suby sunroofs leak anyways, haha. It is the color I wanted, Satin White Pearl, the year 04-05, and 5spd, and a GT. Mileage was a factor and with only 82,000 it was a great deal in my opinion. And to top it all off there are about 4 grand of upgrades all ready.
When I arrived at the BMW dealership she was waiting.

On a side note, in about 2 years the cars well be flooding the market. They are already in the 9-12K range and if you are patient you can get what you want at a really good deal. I walked out after paying 11,100 and couldn't be more happy. Stepping in this after driving a FWD 90 Legacy that is N/A for 6 years is night and day. Everything about this car Subaru did right. And I thing they did the first gen Legacy right as well. The use of actuall pading on the dash and door panels they carried over into the 4th gen. Even the newer WRX Limited have a completely plastic dash and it just disappoints me. The instruments, the buttons, the accents on the buttons at night. Using red instead of the old green or Nissan orange just makes it feel that much more luxury.
