    97 struts on 96?

Just trying to keep this car going :/ Lame I know..

I have to replace rear struts on My 96 Lego Outback. Was hoping that the complete rear strut assembly off of a 97 H4 Leg. Outback would work for me.

Thank you in advance for your expertise

    Re: 97 struts on 96?

As long as it's another outback from 96-99, the struts will swap over fine. The Legacy struts are a different height and would still work, but would probably drop the car about 2".

And there's nothing lame about trying to keep a car going on a budget. Keep your head up and be proud of yourself for being able to do this stuff!

You are the true voice of reason Mark. I appreciate your kind words.

Good To know about the 99 model, because I just got my used struts in the mail from SSP Recycling, which is dedicated to Subaru, and they ended up sending me the 99's. They are much more tall.
