    Problem with cruise control [SOLVED]

    SOLVED

    Hi!

I'm a new member to this site, but I have been using it for a longer period both for inspiration and help with my cars.

I recently bought a Subaru Legacy BG LX, and I have installed cruise control in it. But when I set the cruise control I can hear the relay click, but it drops in speed, f.ex. if I drive 100 kph and hit set, the speed drops to 80 kph and keeps steady at that speed.

I have checked the vacuum system, the hoses seemed dodgy so I replaced them.

Does any one have a clue what to do?

The car was not pre-wired for cruise, so I ran the necessary cables using the FSM's wiring diagram.

The cruise module is salvaged from a automatic and mine is a manual, so I left the connections marked (AT) unconnected. (one goes to the TCM, the other to the ignition switch (marked ST))

    Regards
    Martin

    Solution:

In my case the solution was to hook up the wire to the ignition switch. After this the cruise worked flawlessly.
