Greetings from Cincinnati, Ohio! I just got a 2001 Legacy GT Wagon as my second car (First car worth my time and money though). I'm a high school student saving for college (and car parts). I love pretty much everything Subaru, as well as wanting an E30 for all my RWD needs. I grew up watching my dad work on cars, and eventually working right beside him once I was tall enough to get to the engine bay of his 95 Chevy Blazer. I have always been mechanically inclined. I also enjoy mountain biking, racing RC cars (currently a Team Durango DEX410R, for anyone who cares), as well as being seriously involved in airsoft, and playing racing games on my custom PC. I also love motorcycles, but my family will have nothing to do with that until I move out.

The rest of this post details how I came to have the car I have now, so read on if you are interested.

My story starts approximately one year ago when I got my full driver's license. I was given what would have been a perfect first car, if I wasn't an enthusiast who valued performance and capability over all other factors. It was a silver '02 Camry with 75k miles... Nice commuter, but a Camry is the antithesis of being passionate for cars, so all that you need to know is that I totaled it about a week ago... Pretty sad to see it go, until we started looking at Subaru's, one of the few manufacturers where even their bland cars have a following. We sifted through junker after junker. 200,000+ miles on anything in our price range, until two days ago.

On that fateful morning, a tan Legacy GT Wagon went up for sale at a nearby dealer, only to end up in my driveway that evening. The car is mechanically flawless with only 56,000 miles, but the body, well, it's beat to hell. It is like the previous owner drifted through a shopping cart factory, turned around, and did it again. Every single body panel is scraped or dented in some prominent way. Being a High School student saving for college, I tasked myself with learning how to repair moderate body damage, even though it is the mechanical side that I resonate with. And now I realize just how "fun" it is to buy genuine... But, I am absolutely in love with the car, even though I've only put 10 miles on it, I have had SO much fun just driving normally than any other car I've been in, including my family's 2015 Outback.

Anyway, I'm dragging this out, so I leave you all with a couple pictures of the new love of my life.
