Thread: BE shop manual - Chiltons, Haynes or ???

    BE shop manual - Chiltons, Haynes or ???

    OK - I have 50k on my '03 Leggy GT sedan and I plan on keeping it for awhile. I want a general shop manual to refer to when doing modifications or for minor repairs - IE, not sure I want or need the full FSM.

    So - any thoughts which to get, Chilton's or Haynes? I think both are like $15 on Amazon...

    Chiltons is good, but Haynes will probably be more the average guys speed.

    I found the haynes very helpful and easy to understand. It compliments the 'advanced' nature of the factory service manual very well.

    I have the Haynes, and it has helped me immensely.
    2000 Legacy L. Green. 120K miles, several pints of blood, gallons of sweat and tears, more money than I really have to spend.

    .rar file is an archive file programs like winrar can open that. try some demos at download.com they should suit your needs.
    98 GT -- Intro to Subaru. Cooked HG, dead suspension, and lots of ricer mods.
