Love the front end and SSR's! Always been a big fan of facelift(do I call it right?) headlights/fogs/bumper.

PS: the only thing I am not a huge fan of - that massive bar on the rear gate :/

I'd say the most controversial or split opinion mod I've ever made is the chrome hatch pull bar. I personally like it - there are so, so many 2nd gen Subaru's in the Seattle area its nice to have something you don't see everyday. Some friends/family dig it & think it looks good. Other's think it looks like butthole. If I decide against it in the future it won't be hard to find another silver hatch.

Just like my square tip Liberal mufflers - a few love them, many hate haha. Who cares really, as long as you like it yourself.

My take on it is it looks a bit bulky on otherwise a very elegant car you have there

That's looking great. If you don't use them, you should shave the roof rack. It would look especially clean then.

Thanks! I'd love to shave off the rack but I do use it during the winter for snowboards & ski's. I have a Yakima Powderhound attachments & locks for the factory cross bars. I would however love to shave the the center three metal strips for a cleaner look. I take off the cross bars during the summer months for a cleaner aesthetic. I want to remove the outer rails and paint them gloss black just to clean them up for the time being. Ultimately I really wish it was a BG, stepped roof with the dual moonroofs but that will probably never happen. :smt076

I got my rear fenders rolled last night by Chris from Euro Addikts. He was a good guy, came to my house and took his time. Now there is no more rubbing when I load the car down with passengers & bags!

Plasti-dip the hatch handle, or you could even color match it with a slight texture for no-slip. I dig it.

Same thing with the roof rails.

Everytime I think "oh, Tobias is done with it" you find something else to straighten, tweak, line up, polish, refurbish, restitch...

    Wcss 2015

Had a blast this past Saturday up in Port Townsend, WA with some of the SL-i crew. Congrats to @Red85Celica on winning best 3rd Gen & 2nd Place 2nd generation Legacy... I didn't win anything lol. Also a big shout out to @ags18 on the completion of his RHD BK. It's stunning in the flesh. I love it. I have to say I am proud of the transition this car has been through since January, 2014. With the next update you'll see some shiny roof rails, rain guards, and darker front window tint (matched to the 35% the rest of the windows have). From there I'll install the aluminum control arms I have, TEIN BG5 coilovers and some Whiteline bits over the winter.

    Front JDM spats were reinstalled

Drove to Mount Rainier last weekend with the wife and a couple of her friends. Just got back from a weekend trip down to Portland. I picked up some rain guards from @ags18 on the way home!

Here is a few from Rainier.

    Fall Update

I took PTO today, waxed the Legacy + snapped some pix of her at Carkeek Park. Carkeek is just a five minute drive from my front door

Updates Completed: I had @Dead91silvia repaint my front bumper after my loving wife had a small accident and brushed up against the side of our house. I also had Robin paint the clear side markers to match the trim & repaint the roof racks and C Pillar as it was fading. He also installed the rain guards I had.

With the exception of a new windshield, limited wiper arms & installing the JDM smoked tail lights I have coming, the exterior is now finished! I'm very happy. In the coming years I'm focusing on swapping the motor and transmission to

    Enjoy the Fall foliage

The Rain Guards are pretty neat

Robin did a great job on the paint!

Did the roof racks originally come on this car? I need to get some for my bk and hate the look of the only aftermarket option for our cars (yakima). Thanks, Dave.

These are the factory racks that came on the car. They also have factory cross bars that I put on during the winter months to use my Yakima Powder hounds for my trips up the mountain to some snow.
This is what it looks like installed:

Started scrubbing with a Scotch pad & hot dish soap on these JDM aluminum control arms I got from @Red85Celica. My plan is to hand polish these out to a really deep shine. Left is untouched, right is about 90 minutes in.

Not much new to report on the wagon. I ordered Whiteline alloy front end links as well as Whiteline 20mm Urethane FSB Bushings yesterday. I want to install these at the same time as the aluminum control arms as well as some new rear control arms bushings. From there I'll get an alignment done next spring as well as four new tires. I am thinking of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's to run all year long.

My wife and I are currently saving up for a new car. We have it narrowed down to three choices, all lightly used with less than 30k miles. A Mini Cooper S, Mk6 GTI DSG 4-door autobahn, or a 2013+ BMW X1 xDrive M-Sport. With the addition of a new daily for us I don't think I'll be putting too much money into the wagon anymore, rather enjoying it for what it is and keeping it up to date on maintenance. I love the Legacy but it's not within economic reasoning to keep dumping buckets of money into the way I have been for the last two years. Don't worry, I won't be putting it up for sale :-)

Thanks! I want to get a Grimmspeed Brake Master Cylinder Brace to help improve the brake feel even more.

The car had to go in for a bit of work this past week. It needed a new alternator, battery, D/S steering rack boot, 4 wheel alignment, tire rotation, brake system flush, and oil change. My checking account wasn't super happy about all of this. I went to the NW Toy Run yesterday and a couple of friends snapped some cell pics which I then edited on Instagram. Another Update:
I got a set of smoked, late model JDM tail lights from Japan.

    Before/After:

Removed the Legacy badge & installed a TS Type R JDM badge. The TS Type R is essentially an N/A version of the JDM GT Legacy

Acquired JDM TS Type R front & rear seats + door card inserts. I'll post better pictures once they're totally cleaned up and detailed. Overall they're in very nice condition. This was a great upgrade from the leather seats. They sit quite firmly (which I like) with lots of lumbar support and thick side bolstering. The best thing I can relate them to are the US bugeye seats that sit a little narrower with more lumbar support and of course lower in the car. They weren't cheap but they were a great upgrade. The seats are the same form/shape as the JDM GT-B seats although the seat fabric's pattern design is ever so slightly different. The rear also has a fold down rear center console that with cup holders! Pretty cool

Considering this is one of my favorite cars on SL-I, I'm very happy that you've decided to keep modding it.

Thanks man! I can never leave it alone... always messing with something. I ordered a 5k 55w H1 HID kit from DDMTuning last week... It still hasn't shown up, I'm getting a little concerned. I also ordered some LED 194 lights for the rear license plate.

I grabbed some better pictures of the interior all vacuumed out. The rear seats are so cool. All of the interior is from a 1997 TS Type R. It has a fold down rear center arm rest that has a neat pop-out cup holder. The rear lower seat portion is also a 60/40 seat split which is too cool. Another great feature is that the rear headrests are fully adjustable and can be positioned far enough facing downwards as to not obscure the drivers rear vision out of the rear view mirror. Very thoughtful! Overall the seats are extremely comfortable, offering leaps and bounds more support and stability than any other Subaru seat I have yet to own. I originally wanted the v5/6 STi front seats but they're damn hard to find in nice condition for under $600.

I also ordered some Whiteline goodies: W61382A, W0404-20, KLC30, KCA377, KSR202. Install won't be for at least a few months from now

Interior and the rest of the car looks fantastic. Also, I need to get a life as I recognize most of those Whiteline part numbers.

I should have included the product descriptions as well as the part numbers! My bad.

Rear lower control arm inner & outer bushings
    20mm Front Sway Bar Bushings
    Alloy Front Endlinks
    Rear Toe Lock Kit
    Steering Rack Bushings

I also already have the rear alloy endlinks waiting to go on as well as JDM aluminum front control arms.
I'd like to order more but this stuff is expensive. A 3-way adjustable Whiteline rear sway bar & heavy duty mounting brackets are the other pieces I'd really like to order.
