so i want that throaty boxer rumble on my car without that ricer rasp. i figured that i want 2.25"-2.5" piping for the whole exhaust. ive heard borlas unequal length headers add to the rumble so ill be looking into those aswell. so basically what im here for is if you guys know of any catback exhausts or any tips to get rid of that rasp if i chose to create a custom set up. also its for a wagon which i think only matters for the exhaust tip length.

i bet you'll need single port headers, supers sells them on rs25.com, or have an exhaust make you one, then you want a good resonator ( kills rasp) and a good axle-back, stromung, spt, and vibrant performance are nice and deep
you want to do 2.25" piping the 2.2 cant breath enough to need 2.5" piping, hell the 2.5L doesn't need 2.5" exhaust unless there is some head work done

well i plan on doing cam gears and cams eventually (about a year if all goes well). also from what ive heard the stromung exhaust is awesome, do they still make a catback for the legacy? on their site they have this http://www.stromungexhaust.com/Video.asp?VideoID=3643 if i combined that with their intermediate pipe for the impreza http://www.stromungexhaust.com/Video.asp?VideoID=3615 would that not make a catback? the only thing is in the pic there appears to be no resonator. if i was to go custom i was thinking something along the lines of borla uel headers, 2.25 or 2.5 havent decided yet, with a 18" vibrant resonator and a vibrant round metal core race cat with a stromung muffler. plus i live in a smallish town and we dont have any performance shops so i dont think i could find anyone that would mandrel bend the exhaust so that might force me to go with a catback
