OK first off sorry to post another question regaurding fitment but i'm having a hard time visualizing this stuff. I am looking at a set of rims that are 18x8.5 et34, my stock snowflakes are 16x6.5 et 53.
So I found a really cool calculator to help me out with this:
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
when i punch in everything (using 205/55/16 for stock and 235/35/18 for the other tire size) it says that I will have more clearance near my suspension than stock and the it will stick out the fender an extra 1.3". My first problem is even when looking at my car I cannot visualize with it will look like if the rim sticks out another 1.3" I would imagine I would have to pull the finders to make it look alright but at the same time I'm thinking 1.3" is not alot.
My second question is how can it only stick out 1.3" when the new rim is 2" wider than the old. Where does the other .8 go, the calculator says it does not go toward the suspension, so is the calculator wrong?
Thanks for any help!
