Hey guys I have a 98 Legacy Wagon. I have heard a lot about this Snorkus delete mod. Thinking of doing it but just bought a short ram intake. Can anyone tell me which is better or which will show better results?

Buy a cheap intake and use only the pipe that connects to the throttle body. Connect it to the stock air box and get a high flow panel filter. Best performance gain. Leave the snorkus alone . search the DIY forum. There is a thread about the "eBay intake"

Deleting the snorkus with just make the intake louder. I like it because it makes me feel fast in my BD. haha

Honestly, I'd even skip the intake pipe and use the stock intake pipe. I had nothing but issues with the pipe getting misaligned with the TB and the EGR & Air Bypass line outlets on those eBay pipes never really fit properly.

Just put a panel filter you like in and gut the silencer if you want more noise. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the stock intake, it's not a restriction.

Also - you started a new post for something that was a already a discussion in another post you started. Please try not to clutter up the forums like this, it makes searching harder in the future. These two threads also belong in the engine/drivetrain section, and I'm going to move them there.
