Merc6's 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited Thread

Back in 2007, I got my SWP 2005 Legacy GT Unlimited as a stage 2 5EAT with a few mods and 2007 Shrek B interior swap minus door cards from a LGT.com member. It replaced my 2003 Mercury Marauder after it was totaled out. Remind me to find and post the video of my Marauder losing to a Subaru on a drag strip in MD which partially lead me to getting one. That and watching a bunch of Tommi Antero Mäkinen videos online. I was a ricer when I 1st got the car in my early 20's, you may see some stuff I didn't remove from those days pop up in pics.

Later,I swapped a member for painted wheels and also painted my calipers red

After ditching the TDC tune it came with, I went with DPS open source and ran 13.35 in the 1/4 but at Capital instead of MIR.

Fell on some hard times with no job and I ended up parting ways with my 2007 Shrek B interior. Downgraded (if you can call it that) to 2006 Tan Limited Interior. I kept the black carpet, deck, lower half, and seat belts. This was also the same member I swapped wheels with.

I also did a few things here and there like added the LL Bean Outback MOMO wood wheel to replace my 10 year old grey MOMO wheel. Same for the wood pattern shift knob. Plan on doing wood grain vinyl to make the fake wood match the wheel.

I also repainted the quad tips and wheels as they looked like crap over time. Wheels I need to redo again. This was a temp fix so they weren't an eyesore every time anyone walk by or look at it from afar.

I tinted the tails using Lamin-X pre cutouts with circle cutouts and open reverse.

The original owner of the interior (yeah the interior was in 3 different SWP Legacy GT's at this point) had a LED for his alarm here so I threw in a random switch to fill the hole. I plan on hooking up the STi I/C sprayer to this if I don't figure out how to mound and make work the actual button with the light dim/mirror/wiper defrost panel.

This is me test fitting the inlet and filtered oil line trying to decide what color I want the compressor housing to be when it gets sent off for 11 blade rebuild.

Boxed up the turbos and sent them off. Twin turbo Subaru build in the works! Don't believe a word of that, I'm lying! Jesus when they said a 10 minute process that was if you meant 1 turbo and you done this before many times. Anyone out there looking for a 46 JmP turbo, I sent a core off to add to the inventory.

Programming remotes failed, I'll try again another time. The imobilizer chip is super easy to remove from these than the original keys.

When all said and done it will look like this. Those buttons don't line up easily. Removing the chrome key loop bar make it work out better.
