got a pair of used wrx struts, can legacy lowering springs work with legacy tophats?

YES. They are a direct bolt on, but you have to modify the way the brake line attaches the strut. I have a set of 06 WRX struts with 04-07 Megan Racing WRX lowering springs that are going into my car saturday. I am not sure if you can use LGT lowering springs with the WRX struts, after researching it I found that the other sl-i guys with these struts on their leggys have use wrx springs. Also a set of adjustable camber bolts is a must to get the car within spec. There is also a possibility that you may get saggy butt so i ordered a set of 3/8" rear strut spacers from Paraniod Fabrications......this should help

Edit: from what I have been told you haver to use the WRX tophats....
