Opening Hood From Outside the Car

how would i go about doing this...? my buddy's OB wagon's hood release broke so there is seemingly no way to open his hood

Go through the grill. Either lay down and go from underneath, or remove the grill (Careful w/ the tabs) and get right to the latch from there.

Or...check the hood latch again. Sometimes the plastic part that's holding the wire to open the hood is broken. Look under neath the dash and look at the hood latch, get a pair of needle nose and pull on the wire while someone on the outside is lifting up the hood and latch.
