Not sure how I forgot to post them, but here are the dyno day pics. She's not making the power she should and I dont know why. Maybe some of you TT guys will have some info on it.

Oh, I figured out the boost controller after the dyno run and it does eliminate the VOD nicely.

Yep, I was running a mix that would have been about 100 octane. It runs the same no matter the mix though. It seems to be a boost issue.

@ fwa2500 I have another set of wheels for it, but these for some reason make it look really good. And thanks for the compliments. =)

They just look so right on it, when I got my set of them as soon as I had them on the car I knew I wasn't going to get aftermarket wheels. They just look so right, Subaru hit a home run on that design. Cheers!

Well, messed with the GT-B a bit yesterday. I drive with my lights on 24/7 and the HVAC controls automatically dim so it makes it hard to see them. The guys on the UKLegacy forum said there was a wire you can cut to make so they are bright all the time, so I decided to mess with it. The color was wrong, but I found the right wire with a little testing and now have a full bright display.

I also installed my Zero Sports Boost controller in my stereo pocket to make it nice and clean. I left out my Mines ECU for now because of the need to run mixed gas. I can turn off the controller so that wont be a problem.

Then since I had everything apart I replaced the little pocket door for the center console under the stereo. It had a couple cig burns from the previous owners and I had another one with a clean door. Also cleaned the velvet stuff on the inside so it's all nice now. I also found out the the vent rim for the dash is much different then the North American parts. I'm going to look at it some more, but I'm pulling all the woodgrain out to put in my sedan. I know few people will care about having it in the GT-B and I really like it so I'm going to be switching out some parts after WCSS.

I'm gonna get some more pics soon, I did some cleaning yesterday and it looks really nice inside now.

    Anyway, here are some pics.

This is the wire I pulled for the dimming...

Un-pinned it and wrapped it up

    And...

    Full bright! =)

Regarding your boost issues... eh... I've got a reeeeaaaalll good fix for TT boost issues.

In seriousness, one just has to clean. Clean all the blow by oil out from all the vac lines and solenoids. Run the car in d-check mode for a day and see if it comes up with anything. Replace the BOV, they get old and leak (does the car humm, or honk at you at partial throttle boost situations?), and the secondary bypass valves also get troublesome too. Worst case, hunt for boost leaks, but there's a lot of hard plastic intake hoses to look at! and they don't seal nearly as nice as silicone does.

Have fun! Now you know the joys of TT ownership (excluding smug S401 owners *cough* :P )

Also, likewise I drive with my fogs on 24/7, I did a bit more than pull the wire... Get creative man! Find a snow-hold button somewhere, and wire that wire up to the switching part in that. Little beast trick, I've done the same to my mates BG GTB too. There's also the de-solder the speaker from the yellow box trick, that yellow box controls the interior lighting, so when you un-plug it to kill the door binger, you loose your puddle and key lights. De-solder speaker, and ta-da, still got your lights, but no binger!

    Test switch:

And I put a snow-hold switch where that coin pocket was, and use that to swtich it, so I can have dim at night, and bright during the day. I tell yah, I ain't one for loosing GTB luxuries!

You know the sadest part.... BH owners onwards don't need to do this mod, since they can hold the off button to brighten the lights on the AC...

HAHA! Yeah, I know. Not gonna happen with this one though. I have decided though, if I ever get a JDM RS, it will be converted to a single for sure. So much extra crap to work on and there is no real fun to the twins.

However, on this car, they stay. I'm pretty much actively trying to sell, just not advertising. I'm going to mess with the BBoD pretty soon and clean that all out. I know the hard plastic bits are not the best. I've thought about doing silicon, but just dont have the money and time. I will look at the other parts though. I have thought about doing a different BoV but I've been told they dont help the TT system, correct?

And I did think about doing a switch. I might later. Maybe wire in an extra fog switch since I have so many bumping around.

Any blow off valve is fine, but TT's like it recirculated, so one that recircs is preferred over ones that vent to atmo.

Do not touch the secondary bypass valve though, that's tuned specifically, replacing it with anything that's not exactly like factory has the chance to pull code 66 up. So when I say replace that, I mean with a genuine valve.

Interesting, I ight see if a buddy has one sitting around. I have a couple that are open, but they are for Nissan..

Good to know. I also forgot to say this as well... Every time I start it when cold, it acts like it has a carburetor. As in it stumbles and runs horrible for about 30 seconds and then it will idle. If I let it run for a couple minutes it will be ok to drive, but it will still have that feeling like the chock is on, but if I drive it just after starting it wants to stall and die. When she warms up, it's fine.

Well, I'm getting ready to put my beloved GT-B up for sale. If anyone is interested, let me know. Dont want to give it up, but I would like to move on to another car. I have a couple things to do before selling it, but they will be done soon.

It was ok. The car has good power for the passes and the seats are actually pretty nice for long trips, but the springs are shit and no cruise control sucks balls. My right foot was kinda worn out after 800+ km's... lol

Well, I had another front caliper seize on me last night... The right one did the same thing a few months ago and the left did it last night. It was interesting... the bottom piston on the caliper went in really hard and the bottom slide pin was also super stiff.

I used one of the old calipers off my BD on the right a few months ago. The US caliper is smaller, but it worked with the JDM caliper bracket. I thought I would try an experiment and get a pair of 2000 H6 calipers that I picked up local for $50 a pair with good looking pads all ready in them. H6 calipers are the same size as the JDM GT-B BG5 calipers. The brackets, calipers, everything was a perfect match. I havent had my brakes work this well on the GT-B since I have had it.

I also tried to fix my clutch pedal return problem with bleeding it, but it didnt help much. Just a little bit. I'm thinking that I should get a new rubber line and maybe ad a spring to the clutch arm. I also have been switching the door panels around with my BD and putting the wood grain in my BD. That has been interesting for sure. haha...

Anyway, about to take it on another road trip this weekend.

It is a Prova spoiler. Very rare. Had listed for sale for a while but didn't get any interest.... So trade rare JDM parts for labor on paint and body work needed on my cars.

Well, as I decided to start getting ready to sell my GT-B, it starts having problems... ugh... Primary turbo is starting to whine a little, not sure whats thats about and also the up-pipe seems too have a small leak, might be why the whines. V-covers leak really bad now also. Need to fix that. But the most annoying thing so far is the damn sunroof! Pissing me off! Leaks on my head damn it! :P

Anyway, I have some pics I need to upload... Just been really busy lately. Also picked up a project BH Limited Outback that needed a motor. Lots going on. haha, I'm sure thats not a shocker.

Updated pics... Took these at Ocean Shores back in October. My girlfriend and I took a weekend to the coast and she let me have some fun driving on the beach. Dont worry, Hornet got a nice bath when we got home. We were there for a few days so the pics are from different days.

This is my fav shot I took for some reason.

This was a couple weeks ago... Took a trip up to Mt. Rainier with some friends and came back to my car froze shut... haha. Oh, and this also shows my SYMS grill. I really like the look on it. Might end up on the BD when the wagon is no longer with me.
