So on July 2, 2013, I signed my life away for a new car. No more second gen. Enter the 2006 Outback L.L. Bean sedan.
These things seem to be very hard to fine. After I test drove one for the hell of it, I fell in love with the 3.0R. I was thinking turbo was my future but I'm glad I found this.

No complexity, no lag, all power!

Found one of these rare beauties (6/28/13)

    Got the keys (7/2/13)

    Got it home

Nothing new going on. Added the BL prefix tag to this post...

Still debating about lowering. Might keep it at stock height (because I keep talking myself out of lowering) but I wonder if doing the sway bars would be worth it.

I am pleasantly surprise how much of a different the Tribeca bar made. Supposedly something like this will work too.
    http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Whit...-Impreza-2-5RS

The Tribeca bar is cheaper and thicker, but more than like is more work than the Whiteline bar. Either way, you will have to drop the headers to change the front sway bar. I wonder how much just putting new struts on your car would make a difference. Or if you could find a reasonably priced set of Outback Bilsteins.

Feel like its been forever since I did something to my car.

So I was going over my budget today and realized I had a little extra I could spend. So I bought some stuff to help out handling.

I have found a guide to install a backup cam into my OEM Nav display. Subaru has the the whole thing pretty much wired up to work so that when the car goes in reverse, it automatically switches to the feed on the screen and even bypassing the agreement not to use the screen while driving screen. Wonder why they took all that time and then never offered it as a kit...

My only concern is about how to mount the camera if I do this.

I want something more permanent then that. I was looking into this.

I'm still not sure where I'd mount a camera yet.

I mounted mine just above the number plate, on a plastic panel with the number plate lights in it (you can just see it on some of my photos). $20 ebay camera, impressive build quality, good picture. Wiring was real easy, the camera comes on when the car is in reverse gear.

So, Ive been busy ordering stuff. Nothing crazy but I have the following on tap:
    Tribeca Front Sway Bay 25mm
Custom rigged Back-up Camera into Factory Nav
    Osram Nightbreakers Unlimited

Also I have been researching wheels as of late. I want to make the car little more worthy of those big wheel arches with a lower offset wheel which should push the wheels out a bit.

I've also been in contact with Nameless performance. Looking into their axle back system. One with mufflers still.

Ok. Was looking for a video to demo the sound. This is the closest I could find. Its a 3.6R with a nameless 4" muffler. I would probably get the 5" muffler.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Forgot one other mod I am planning. 2005 Headlights as they have black housings.

So mod plans right now after I get what I have coming in.

    Black headlights
    Nameless Exhaust.

And these are an at anytime if I can find them.
RSB if I find a good used one.
    GT front seats that work
Wheels will take a bit unless I find a nice used set

I have the nameless Turbo back with 5" mufflers on my 08 OBXT. It's AWESOME. I do wish it was just a TOUCH quieter though. I'm sure it has more to do with the 3" down and mid pipes than it does the mufflers though. Have you asked, or do you know if the turbo midpipe will fit your car? The one I put on my OBXT looks like it would fit on my 07 NA Outback.

From what I have read, the 3.0Rs can only use the axle backs. The mid pipe and y pipe are different. I am not sure about the y pipe, but I know the mid pipe is a different length due to the headers on the H6.

From my own experience, mid-Y is the same. Headers end flange is twisted by 90ish degrees, that's the only mismatch I found when I was putting a Kakimoto pipe on.

Thank you. Finally someone with an actual fitment answer. I was finding hard to believe the y pipe was different.

Well.... Keep in mind that Soba has a JDM car, so it may be different from yours too Who knows what SoA decided to change..

I tried looking it up on opposed forces, but it appears that the mid-pipe and y-pipe are the same piece on there?

These are the measurements I took in order to get a quote from a shipping company, pretty rough ones but should give you a good idea.

The pipe would fit perfectly apart from the flange, the holes wouldn't line up because it was designed for a turbo car (easy to fix). Other than that the pipes are identical. Wouldn't know about USDM stuff sorry.

Got my Tribeca FSB with Bushing and Rear Forester end links in. Gonna be little bit till I get them installed. Tomorrow are some new headlight bulbs and the rear view camera. Camera is also gonna be a bit of time but I'm gonna slowly work on the wiring of it.

Got a new battery today. Got it cheaper then full price thanks to its warranty.

Went and washed my car off a bit and some of the paint on my JDM grille went. Tow hook is looking kinda ratted too.

I did the same on my grill, I ended up sanding down the whole perimeter, and painted it semigloss black. I left the "blades" chromed, since they were okay still.

@rkrenicki and @Yamazaki, seeing that you both own Outback Sedans that are lowered. I plan on keeping stock tire size because I want some ground clearance and that side makes for a nice smooth ride. Would you go with LGT suspension or spec B stuff?
