    knocking noise over bumps

    i just installed the h&r lowering springs on my 97 legacy, looks nice but im getting a knocking noise kinda rattly noise as i drive certain speeds over 40mph, and every bump on the street i hit and its getting so annoying urgently need help

    Well, obviously something is loose after the spring replacement. I would go through and make sure you re-tighten everything that was touched, especially the top strut nuts.

    i went over everything i did touch, twice already and just cant find the problem, im thinkin the strut mount has to be placed in a specific way, anymore ideas

    i finally found the culprit, it was my driver side lower ball joint, actually had nothin to do with me changing my struts n springs.

    Well, I wouldn't say "nothing" to do with that. You did change the way your car sits, which puts strain on components of the suspension differently.

    that much i know, actually turns out that i changed both ball joints a couple months back but one of them was defective, i returned it and store manager said i wasnt the first to get a defective ball joint, they actually had several cases, he says they received a bad batch of them but thanx for the thought, car rides just fine now handling is awesome.
