no legacy parts fit on my legacy....

Ok, so i need brakes the other day and got rotors. They asked me if i havr 15 or 16 inch rims. I said i have 16. Wrong rotor size, went back down and the ones that fit on the car was for a 15 inch rim. Today i went to autozone and advance and got a tranny mount. None worked and didnt look like mine, the one that did fit was for an impreza 2.2l. I have a 01 legacy gt limited 5 speed. Is this common or what.

The car may have originally come with 15" wheels, and at some point in its life been upgraded to 16". It also could be that someone in the past installed the wrong type of brakes on the car during a brake job.

As for the transmission mounts, the Impreza and Legacy transmission mounts are largely the same between similar years. Can you be a little more specific about what was wrong about the ones they gave you?

I know some auto parts stores have incorrect listings for brake parts on the 00-01 BE/BH legacys - the caliper is what matters, not the wheel size. Best thing you can do is look up online listings from websites like rockauto, or even Subaru parts websites, that may list specific information about the part, like what size rotor applies to what models.

As for the tranny mount, there are 3 different types used in EJ series Subarus (to my knowledge) - Manual, Automatic, and STi 6-speed. It's possible that all they stocked were for automatics, but 2.2, 2.5, what model, etc doesn't matter as the transmission and the crossmember are the only things that make any difference.

Why do you think you need a tranny mount, anyways? They're not a common part for failure.
