My Albero mufflers will go nicely with that shiny knob

PS: am I correct assuming it's the same shape as stock just made out of carbon?

Yes. Same shape as the stock knob. I had a chance at some Albero side skirt extensions a while back. They were cheap and local. I kind of wish I had bought them. But the guy selling them had damaged them and rattle canned them flat black.

I wanted the trunk space back that he sub was taking up. I had been looking into a Wicked CAS Magic Box for a while, but did not want to pay full price for one. After waiting about 2 months without finding one, two people messaged me in the same day with boxes they were selling. The one I bought had a hole drilled in it from the previous owner mounting it to the floor. We filled that with epoxy. Wicked CAS recommends drilling a hole in the back of the box where there is a bolt behind the carpet in the trunk and using a longer bolt to mount it. I did not want to drill another hole in the box. In addition, this box does block the access door for the tail light. I wanted it to be removable without having to take the sub out of the box. My friend helped me come up with a strap using the same bolt Wicked CAS recommends. We also make a small brace to hold the top of the box in place, but that is not pictured because I took it out to paint it blaaaaaaack. The strap is a belt from one of my old pairs of hockey pants and the braces is cut from old broken carbon fiber hockey sticks. YAY for reusing/recycling old junk. I am still using the same Polk Audio sub as before.

No real updates. But Croooober has another Albero shift knob just like the one I got from them. They are asking (before shipping) what I paid including shipping. I have also seen some stuff I want on that site. And the worst part is I missed out on some Atech Erasesr (aka MB Weapons) that were 18x7.5 et 48 with Yokohama Advan Neova tires for around $250 before shipping. The wheels were missing the center caps and would have needed to be repainted. It still would have been worth it.

Went to dinner with some Subaru friends, some of whom you make recognize. I am proud to say the Legacys out numbered the Imprezas.

So I took out my sweet washable AVO panel filter and washed it. Went to put it back in this evening and there is rust on the metal screen around the filter element after leaving it in the sun all day. I had gotten it used from a friend for cheap so no real complaints. Anyways, now there is an AEM dryflow panel filter being shipped to me from Rally Sport Direct. In the mean time I have a paper filter that will go back in.

I've been meaning to ask, how is the drone/cabin noise with the Turbo XS exhaust? I've been looking at them but I don't want it to be too loud inside.

Inside I barely notice it. At idle and cruise its slightly louder than stock. It sounds great when you get on it. It is perfect for me. I just have the mufflers bolted to the stock y-pipe and mid pipe.

My friend sent me the pictures he took at Cars and Coffee about a month ago. Sadly I have one left due to Photobucket. He has the deep bronze metallic 3.0R on the blown Megan Racing coilovers (on the car when he bought it). Yes, he has plans to change them out but is finishing college right now.

Put in my AEM Dryflow drop in filter this evening. Fitment is great. Its a thicker filter compared to most. I will review it after I drive the car but I don't see it making much of a difference. The reason I got it was because reviews said it has better filtration than some others after being washed a few times.

That is what I have in mine, I didn't really notice any difference (I never have really with filters, just clean vs. dirty) but it does feel like a good quality product.

I wanted something that is a good quality product. I read reviews about it and some others and people seemed to like this one best for the price.

So this past weekend I drove out to Davis, WV and back for my brother's wedding. I didn't get any pictures of the car since it rained all weekend, other than during the ceremony on an overlook about Blackwater Falls. The drive by ways was great. I took I-66 to I-81 to US48 out to Davis. Its a beautiful 4 lane highway cut through the mountains, except for the eastern most 20 miles which are a 2 lane pass over a mountain. Needless to say I had a blast. I filled up before leaving Davis and my car even averaged 29.1 mpgs on the way back even with all the climbs and spirited driving on the last mountain pass.

Yeah, I saw a few cars with that at the Annapolis Subaru open house and that sealed the deal. It then took me a while to actually or it/them. I also need to order a lip, but that will be in the spring. Don't want to crush it in the winter.
