Exclamation SL-i is Dead! Long live SL-i! (No more new user registrations)

As I am sure that most of you are well aware, activity here has fallen off of a cliff and this forum is officially dead.

We do get a number of people trying to register for the forums on a nearly daily basis, since each and every registration is manually approved here, it adds an extra amount of time to my day to go through and check these and approve them individually. Unfortunately, not a single one of these new people contribute in any way, so it is just a waste of their and my time to register and approve them. As such, I have decided to disable new user registration going forward.

That said, if there is a user who has a real *legitimate reason* for becoming a new member here, they can reach out to me via email to pitch their case for being allowed to join. They can email my username @sl-i.net, and I will look it over. They do need to make a very compelling reasoning at this point. Things like "wanting to learn more" or "want to get a service manual" are not good enough reasons since browsing, the search function, and downloads are all currently available to even unregistered users. It must be a valid reason that is not already answered in the many threads here, or a function that is already available to everyone.

If there are any questions about this new stance from any of the members here, please feel free to reach out to me via PM or eMail. I will be happy to discuss your concerns.

    Thanks!

Although unfortunate that's understandable. I barely visit here anymore myself.
98 GT -- Intro to Subaru. Cooked HG, dead suspension, and lots of ricer mods.
02 Outback H6 -- No more HG issues, but ate two 4eats.
09 Subaru Tribeca -- slow and ....um fat, definitely fat.
13 E350 S212 -- No more Subaru!! Why does that make me happy?
