You on vacation or something? I would love to have that sort of weekday daylight hours for garage time.

Question for you, how do you like your TSW wheels? I found a set for sale sort of near me. But I would need to get tires.

lord flashheart
03-16-2015, 12:54 PM
I like TSW. I would buy their wheels again. But I want a set of these:

Wow. Seriously good looking. Can't wait til it's 100% back together too, I wanna see some sunlight pictures! I don't think I could ever repaint my car, I can't lay an even layer of paint to save my life. That, and I just can't wait for it to dry, I'll end up spraying on a thick coat next and then having runs.

You gonna wetsand and polish the clear now?

lord flashheart
03-18-2015, 02:42 AM
Lol waiting for it to dry is the hardest part!

And yea I think I will. There are a couple spots where the orange peel is pretty bad

LeggyxPower

Any reason for leaving the lip on the bumper black and the rear lip color matched?

Not really. I just liked the look of the front lip being black.

Planning on any lip or aero? V limited or anything like that? Unless you're going for a sleeper look, which you've definitely achieved haha

Nah. I thought about it but idk. There are other things I want to do to the car first. There is a guy with a GT wagon where i live and the lip is painted and something just looks off. I can't quantify it.. Just something looks funny about it. So I figured meh. I'll leave it black.

AGREED! i seen duplicates on my car but with the lip colour matched and it just doesn't look as good IMO love the black to throw in some contrast

I definitely like the look of black lips and skirts over the painted ones. That color really sets the car off man, but I'm a sucker for silver legacys.

Thanks guys! I just need JDM lights. WTF happened? I looked at getting a set a couple years ago and they were like $90-$120. Now you can't touch them for $300 and there isn't a single pair of JDM sedan taillights WTF is this shit?!

Get in touch with kcowles. She found someone on Facebook that works at a Subaru breaker in NZ I believe. She got a great deal on JDM headlights and tail lights for her wagon.

I bought a set of headlights for $180 shipped from eBay about 6 months ago. The deals are still out there, just gotta wait for a good set. I also bought a set of JDM fogs for $80 shipped from another seller at the same time.

nice dude!!

Blacked out JDM lights would be a good subtle contrast to the lip with the black rims. Maybe blacked tails too? Small, subtle, scattered contrasts make a good package.

I wish I could afford your wagon lol

Yea I think your right I might blacken them.

03-23-2015, 01:46 AM
I prefer my pre crash blacked out tails to JDM tails. And my headlight are tinted as well, the chrome was just a bit too much for me.

lord flashheart
03-23-2015, 02:21 AM
Yea I might grab some tint. I need a few things for my car to be pretty much complete and have all the bugs worked out.

1) gauge cluster
2) tail light
3) misc pieces (trunk carpet, rear pillar trim etc)
4) dyno tune.
5) brake master cylinder
6) Spun catalytic converter
7) alignment
8) buff and polish orange peel.

Not sure who is following my build but I wanted to give anyone a little heads up I'm going to be gone for a while. I'll be in a rehab. Dont post any 'good luck' or 'see ya later' shit in here. I'll be on when I can.

So you're saying your garage of goodies will be unattended for a little bit. Time to make a trip to Utah, ;).

Yeah so scoob sat for 6+ years in my parents back yard. it needed a fuel pump, and a MAP sensor, and started right up. after some electrical issues were sorted out she's now my Daily driver to the nissan dealer where i work. I also had to put a new rack and pinion in it, i did Ebay coilovers, installed A/C and painted the wheels.3551

I Decided to convert to RWD. That's Rear Wheel Drive for you subaru folks in the crowd. I know, its a rare combination of words in this neck of the woods. I want to upload photos but for some reason it doesn't work for me. I welded the diff. Now I just got to go the the junk yard to get some axle stubs, Fresh fluid and a tail housing gasket and we be in bidniz.

Guess what. My Legacy can do burnouts. I love it, its ridiculous how much fun this car is to drive now!
its also amazing how easily the car slides. if you even think about the throttle, the back tires spin.
So here's everything I've done recently.
added A/C (kinda a pain to do with my car)
fixed the speedometer
RWD conversion
added some trim pieces
New tires (I have 2 pair of old ones to burn up on the rear before putting the new ones on the back)
I had to buy a new wideband guage.. My old one stopped working for some reason.
painted the wheels rose gold
Ebay coilovers
new (stock) rack and pinion
I also found a screaming deal on a 2002 WRX transmission, so i bought it, but its just sitting in the garage.

Heres a few picture updates

yeah I've thought about doing it for a long time, but people always say the transfer gears break, so far I;ve beat on it pretty hard and had zero problem... yet. i have a 2002 WRX trans on the garage floor ready to go.

Thanks bro. It was mainly just a sketch so I'm thinking of re-drawing it.
Yea I'm pretty goochie as the kids say. I got my ASE certification a few weeks ago, and I started a new job as a "Industrial Production Equipment Mechanic" lol

So, i have been meaning to get a downpipe with a catalytic converter so I could pass emissions, the car can get so close to passing on its own, but not quite. Luckily for me, my other project car came with a nice Invidia 3 inch bell mouth catted downpipe. I have no idea how good the cat is, but I think it should get the ol scoob across the line.
