Seats installed.

Impression/modifications: These seats sitso freakin nice in the car. Seatbelts for the LGT (mine did not have them) had to be used so you have to find a bolt and bolt them up. One bolt will not be used on these seats since the LGT seat rails bolt up three spots in the rear and the RS seats only have two. No biggie. Height is barely noticible. I am 6'3" and fit pretty damn good. No pocket on the back of the RS seats oh well. Thats about it. Pics.Pics.

Nice! I have a set outta the fiancé's 98' RS ( since some nice guy gave her his WRX seats :) ) that I'm going to put in my GT. The stock leather seats are an abomination of comfort

Decided to do the hood scoop right. I ordered some Reznor plastic to metal bonding agent. After talking to a local parts guy and a body shop this is what they recomend. This is a fine stran fiberglass. I will document the work.

+1 on the Reznor filler. It works REALLY well as long as it's done right. You shouldn't have any problems. :)

r3v_v3ng3
12-12-2011, 08:21 PM
You should glue the scoop to the hood, then rivet it until it hardens. Then take out the rivets and mold it with the duraglass. Theres alot of vibration and if you don't glue it, it will show the outline of the scoop where you mold it.

httrdd
12-12-2011, 08:28 PM
Yep thats the plan. That is what the reznor is for. Not sure i will rerivit it though. Just put some pressure on it for an hour. Lol.

I meant something like this
http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/sem-mul ... hwoduAkQSA (http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/sem-multi-purpose-panel-adhesive-39747-p-15347.aspx?s_kwcid=TC|6058|sem+panel+adhesive||S|b|7185280025&gclid=CK2mm4rz_awCFQVvhwoduAkQSA)

The duraglass is just a filler with fiberglass strands on it. Its great to build/shape panels but I would use a 2 part glue like SEM, besides its a scoop not a vent. You don't want your scoop flying out at the freeway. Then use the duraglass to blend it in (aka kitty hair)

httrdd

I have almost the same stuff coming tomorrow. I will post tomorrow.

xoSubieLegacyxo

+1 on the Duraglass. That should work for what your planning to do. We use that for BIG dents to fill in! lol

Yeah, I would recommend the same. Using a 2 part made for panel bonding is the way to go, if your not welding. The other thing you want to remember is to make sure no moisture gets around the filler when you do. Most people dont realize that any bit of water that sits on filler, gets sucked in by the filler and then will pop the filler from the what ever other surface its on.

httrdd
12-21-2011, 11:13 PM
Yea first time running these, but heard nothing but good things. I bought these for 150 bucks locally and they are 75% tread. Best part is that i can sell my fronts for about 100 or so since they are in great condition to recoupe the money. Rears are shot. Bad camber wear.

eekay
12-21-2011, 11:30 PM

grayguy
12-23-2011, 11:42 AM
They look to have about the same tread my nokians had when I bough them, and I've used then the last 3-4 years

eekay
12-23-2011, 04:19 PM
Yeah. You'd be surprised how long the tread on winter tires actually lasts. Just make sure your wheels are in properly aligned and you should be able to use them for quite some time.

Kiwi GT
12-23-2011, 04:31 PM
Lol, they tried to ban the use of winter tyres here in New Zealand. Too many idiots thinking that a tyre is a tyre is a tyre, and still try driving like they're Schumacher, then wonder why they've ended up in the bottom of a gully and taken a van of tourists with them. The govt ended up with deciding the minimum tread depth being 4mm (1.5mm on standard tyres) and they must be fitted to all 4 wheels. We really only get snow on the roads in winter in the mountain areas, so not a big deal for us.

Nah it is my dd, but just to work and back. I take the kids with the Xterra that she drives. Inside the cab it is not that bad. Cant even smell it. I love the smell of high octane fuel! I want to replace the cats with high-flow, but for 75 bucks each i can save up for headers. Jake from rs25 will make me a set of long tubes. He has a sound clip i will post. Let me wrap the front pipes amd cats this weekend and i will post a clip. Hallow cats have no sound deadening.

This should be the same theme I am doing with the car. Jet black paint (I know the Wrx has the sparkel though), more metalic red accents, and same color more agressive wheels on fender flares. This car is for sale btw. Lol.

Alright after driving the 09 Avalanche today i realized i am done wity my pos. I am parting the car out as soon as i get my truck. I am serious this time. I am getting back into muscle cars. I will put a part out list when this time comes. Parting everything down to the bone then scrapping the rest. Doubt anyone wants to take on my small problems. I am always looking for speed so back to V8s I go.

I call first dibs on anything I end up wanting! Lol. I completely disagree with the V8 needed to create power (I've got almost 500hp in my Gen2 Lego Wago) but to each their own. I love muscle myself. Different type of power!

Anyhow, we need pics and descriptions of anything aftermarket you have. Start there first. Then, give a price (none of that "make me an offer" stuff). You'll definitely make some cash! Shame to see you go away from the Scoober world, though. :(

httrdd
02-02-2012, 08:11 AM
Yea the little things i am uncovering are driving me nuts. Rusted rear strt towers, no gas gauge/blinker yet, tranny slipping, front diff heating up and grinding after spirited driving, a wobble developing on the highway, broken belt adjuster, paints shitty, speeedo is failing occasionally so i have to guesstimate my fuel usage, and more. It needs a lot more money dumped into it before the supercharger can be bolted down.

I have been thinking of forester panels. gen 1's have very simple extensions with easy corners and edges. giro has arch flairs, they look amazing but the forester would be more of a wide body kit :smt023 then STi links and axles I think they are a wider track to fill up the extensions. or just spacers.

I can't remember where I saw it but I think it was 25rs. There's a impreza L with a eg33 and he cut up some wrx fenders and made a wide body that's insane.
